Registering Your Domain

Welcome!

Kiosk is a domain hosting service and the first thing we want to do is help you get setup with your own domain or transfer an existing domain.

Hosting with Kiosk makes sense. If you are marketing online then you need a hosting company who is friendly to online marketers. That's Kiosk!

If you aren't yet registered, you need to register first and activate your account either with a full membership or on the $1 trial. (Pending members do not have access to the members area).

Once Registered, Login to your Kiosk back office (Members area).

The first thing we need to do is setup a domain.

I highly recommend you setup your name as a domain name such as janetlegere.com or donlegere.com or susansmith.com or johndoe.com

Your name is your personal branding and a great place to start.

From inside your members area, click on the icon at the top labels Domains. From here you will be directed to select your domain and pay for it.

Accept the defaults for nameservers as it will already be setup for your personal Kiosk account.

NOTICE RE: Transferring an existing domain

To Transfer an existing domain, you need to login to your registrar and change the nameservers for your domain to the Kiosk name servers

NS1.KIOSKDNS.COM
NS2.KIOSKDNS.COM

Once complete, we need to come back to your Kiosk back office to setup your domain account.

We'll do that step in the next exercise. For now you have safely registered your new domain name. Congratulations!

Now let's move on and setup our hosting accounts.
